what gopros did you use ?

nice is this the phantom vision 1? does it have a hard time constantly keeping up with the boat?

Im pretty sure i have my answer but to confirm... on a Phantom 1 with the already upgraded board (i assume my board is upgraded because my controller has a gimbal control on the back of it & it was just purchased brand new in Dec 2014), i only need to buy the gimbal to bolt on and plug in the 8pin plug...then install my longer landing gears and I'm good to go correct? no soldering, no ripping it apart, nothing.. just Bolt, Plug & go? I'm referring to an H3-D3 install thanks and great vids

Wow Thom, I think you have a motor going out (or something is loose) on your rig. I would do a temp check on all 4 motors (after you run them under load for a while ) and I suspect you will find one is running hotter. That would be the one you want to replace or repair. You can also run the Phantom through a dyno test (much safer) and pull real time temps/vibrations too. But SOMETHING is going on with your rig. Oh crap, I just realized you posted this 1.5 years ago. I hope you have not had any major failures since then Thom.

Dude! Great video. I grew up waterskiing on that lake. I have s place at echo lake now just down the road. Check out my videos with my F550 and the zenmuse H3-2D. You'll love the new gimbal. The shots are dead steady. I've got more that I'll put up this weekend. I tried to film a slalom course and I totally understand the depth perception with the fat sharks. I did one battery with the goggles and then used a spotter after that.

Can you please let us know total weight of your complete setup? (two GoPros, 3D housing)... I would like to lift a heavier camera and it is difficult to learn the true weight limit of Phantom. 200 g in manual, but in reality it will probably be a bit more. Some people flied 240g RX100.
